Hadith 33:195

Sufyan narrated to us, from ‘Amr, who heard it from Jabir: Mu’adh used to pray with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), then he would return and lead us in prayer—and he said once: then he would return and pray with his people. The Prophet (ﷺ) delayed one night—and he said once: the prayer—and he said once: the Isha prayer. So Mu’adh prayed with the Prophet (ﷺ), then he came to lead his people in prayer, and he recited Al-Baqarah. A man from the people withdrew and prayed [alone]. It was said to him, "Have you become a hypocrite, O so-and-so?" He said, "I have not become a hypocrite." He went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "Mu’adh prays with you, then returns and leads us in prayer, O Messenger of Allah. We are people who work with camels for irrigation and we work with our hands, and he came and led us in prayer and recited Surah Al-Baqarah." He [the Prophet] said, "O Mu’adh, are you a tempter? Are you a tempter? Recite such-and-such and such-and-such." Abu Al-Zubayr said: "By 'Sabbih Isma Rabbika Al-A’la' (Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High) and 'Al-Layli Idha Yaghsha' (By the night when it covers)." We mentioned this to ‘Amr, and he said: "I believe he mentioned it."
