Musnad Ahmad 33:202

Sufyan narrated to us, from ‘Amr, who heard Jabir saying: A man said to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) on the day of Uhud, "If I am killed, then where will I be?" He said: "In Paradise." So he threw away some dates that were in his hand, and fought until he was killed. And someone other than ‘Amr said: He emptied himself of the food of this world.
