Musnad Ahmad 33:210

Muhammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj informed us, Abu al-Zubayr informed us that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah saying: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, entered upon Aisha while she was weeping. He said: "What makes you weep?" She said: "I weep because the people have exited the state of ihram, and I have not exited. They have performed tawaf of the House, and I have not performed tawaf, and this Hajj has arrived." He said: "Indeed, this is a matter that Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam. So perform ghusl, enter into the state of ihram for Hajj, and perform Hajj." She said: "So I did that. When I became pure, he said: 'Perform tawaf of the House, and between al-Safa and al-Marwah, then you have exited the state of ihram from your Hajj and your Umrah.'" She said: "O Messenger of Allah, I feel within myself regarding my Umrah that I did not perform tawaf until I performed Hajj." He said: "Go with her, O Abd al-Rahman, and let her perform Umrah from al-Tan'im."
