Musnad Ahmad 33:211

I found in my father’s book: Abu Sa’id, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, Zaidah narrated to us, ‘Abdullah ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Abu Bakr: "When do you perform Witr?" He said: "At the beginning of the night after the night prayer (al-‘atamah)." He said: "And you, O ‘Umar?" He said: "At the end of the night." He said: "As for you, O Abu Bakr, you have taken the path of caution, and as for you, O ‘Umar, you have taken the path of strength." 14324 - I found in my father’s book: Al-Hakam ibn Musa narrated to us—and I heard it myself from Al-Hakam ibn Musa—‘Isa ibn Yunus narrated to us, Al-Mujalid ibn Sa’id narrated to us, from Al-Sha’bi, from Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to us: "Do not enter upon those whose husbands are away, for the devil circulates in one of you like the circulation of blood." We said: "And in you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "And in me, but Allah helped me against him, so I am safe (or: so he submitted)." 14325 - I found in my father’s book: Al-Hakam ibn Musa narrated to us—‘Abdullah said: "And Al-Hakam ibn Musa narrated it to us"—Yahya ibn Hamzah narrated to us, from Abu Wahb, from Sulayman ibn Musa, that Nafi’ narrated to him from ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar, and ‘Ata’ ibn Abi Rabah from Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever sells a slave who has wealth, his wealth belongs to him (the seller), and his debt is upon him, unless the buyer stipulates otherwise. And whoever pollinates palm trees, then sells them after pollination, the fruit belongs to him (the seller), unless the buyer stipulates otherwise." ‘Abdullah said: "Up to here I found in my father’s book, and the rest is from hearing."
