Hadith 33:220

Mus'ab ibn Salam narrated to us, Ja'far narrated to us, from his father, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) delivered a sermon to us. He praised Allah and extolled Him as He is worthy, then said: "To proceed: The most truthful speech is the Book of Allah, and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, and the worst of affairs are the newly invented ones, and every innovation is a misguidance." Then he would raise his voice, his cheeks would redden, and his anger would intensify when he mentioned the Hour, as if he were a warner of an army. He would then say: "The Hour has come upon you. I and the Hour have been sent like this"—and he gestured with his index and middle fingers—"The Hour has come upon you in the morning and in the evening. Whoever leaves behind wealth, it is for his family, and whoever leaves behind debt or dependents, then it is for me, and upon me." And *al-daya'* (dependents) means his poor children.
