Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Hamid ibn Jubayr ibn Shaybah, who heard Muhammad ibn 'Abbad ibn Ja'far say: I asked Jabir, "Did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbid fasting on Friday?" He said: "Yes, and by the Lord of this House." It was said to Sufyan: "Was he circumambulating the House?" He said: "Yes."
