Musnad Ahmad 33:247

Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, Al-A'mash narrated to us, from Salim, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: A man from the Ansar came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: "I have a female servant who waters my camel for me,"—and he said once: "who irrigates for me"—"and I used to practice *'azl* (coitus interruptus) with her, and I would have intercourse with her, yet she became pregnant and gave birth to a child." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Whatever Allah has decreed for a soul to be created, it will surely come to be."
