Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, 'Abd al-Malik narrated to us, from 'Ata', from Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, began with the prayer before the sermon on the two Eids, without an Adhan or an Iqamah." He said: "Then he addressed the men while leaning on a bow." He said: "Then he came to the women and addressed them, and encouraged them to give charity." He said: "So they began throwing earrings, rings, and jewelry to Bilal." He said: "And he did not pray before the prayer, nor after it."
