Musnad Ahmad 33:261

Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, and Al-A'mash narrated to us, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: I was with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on a journey. When we drew near to Medina, I said: "O Messenger of Allah, I am newly married, so permit me to hasten to my family." He said: "Have you married?" I said: "Yes." He said: "A virgin or a previously married woman?" I said: "A previously married woman." He said: "Why not a virgin, that you might play with her and she might play with you?" I said: "Abdullah died and left behind young daughters, so I disliked bringing to them someone like them." He said: "Do not go to your family at night." He said: I was on a camel, and it became ill. He said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, caught up with me while I was at the back of the people. He said: "What is the matter with you, O Jabir?" I said: "My camel has become ill." He said: So he took hold of its tail and urged it on. He said: I remained at the front of the people, struggling to hold its head back. When we drew near to Medina, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to me: "What has become of the camel?" I said: "It is here." He said: "Sell it to me." I said: "No, rather it is yours." He said: "Sell it to me." I said: "It is yours." He said: "No, I have taken it for an uqiyah; ride it, and when you arrive, bring it to us." He said: When I arrived in Medina, I brought it to him. He said: "O Bilal, weigh out for him an uqiyah, and add a qirat to it." He said: I said: "This qirat that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, added for me shall never leave me until I die." He said: So I placed it in a pouch, and it remained with me until the people of Ash-Sham came on the Day of Al-Harrah and took it along with what they took.
