Musnad Ahmad 33:267

Abu Mu’awiyah narrated to us, Al-A’mash narrated to us, (and in another chain) Ibn Numayr, from Al-A’mash, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade incantations (ruqyah)." Ibn Numayr said in his narration: "So my maternal uncle came to him, and he used to perform incantations for scorpion stings." He said: "Then the family of ‘Amr ibn Hazm came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we had an incantation that we used to perform for scorpion stings, but you have forbidden incantations.' He said: 'So they presented it to him, and he said: "I do not see any harm in it. Whoever among you is able to benefit his brother, let him benefit him."'"
