Musnad Ahmad 33:288

Isma'il narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Pre-emption (al-shuf'ah) applies to every partnership, whether it is a dwelling or a garden. It is not lawful for him to sell until he informs his partner. If he sells [without doing so], then [the partner] has more right to it until he informs him."
