Musnad Ahmad 33:297

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, 'Ata' informed me that he heard Jabir ibn 'Abdullah saying: We used not to eat from the meat of the sacrificial animals (al-budn) for more than three days at Mina. Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, granted us a concession and said: "Eat, and take provisions." He said: So we ate, and we took provisions. I said to 'Ata': "Until we reached Medina?" He said: "No."
