Musnad Ahmad 33:302

Yahya narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik, who said: Ata informed me, from Jabir, who said: The sun eclipsed during the time of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and that was the day on which Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, died. The people said: "It only eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim." The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stood up and prayed with the people six bowings (ruku') in four prostrations (sujud). He said the takbir, then recited, and prolonged the recitation. Then he bowed for a duration similar to his standing. Then he raised his head and recited a recitation shorter than the first recitation. Then he bowed for a duration similar to his standing. Then he raised his head and recited a recitation shorter than the second recitation. Then he bowed for a duration similar to his standing. Then he raised his head and descended for prostration, and he prostrated twice. Then he stood and bowed three bowings before he prostrated. There was no bowing among them except that the one before it was longer than the one after it, except that his bowing was similar to his standing. Then he stepped back in his prayer, and the rows stepped back with him. Then he stepped forward and stood in his place, and the rows stepped forward. He finished the prayer, and the sun had risen. He said: "O people, the sun and the moon are two signs from the signs of Allah, and they do not eclipse for the death of any human. So when you see anything of that, pray until it clears. There is nothing you have been promised except that I have seen it in this prayer of mine. The Fire was brought, and that is when you saw me step back, fearing that its heat might reach me, until I said: 'O my Lord, and I am among them.' And I saw in it the owner of the hooked staff dragging his intestines in the Fire; he used to steal from the pilgrims with his hooked staff. If he was noticed, he would say: 'It only caught on my staff,' and if he was not noticed, he would take it. And I saw in it the woman with the cat, whom she tied up and did not feed, nor did she let it eat from the vermin of the earth until it died of hunger. And Paradise was brought, and that is when you saw me step forward until I stood in my place. I stretched out my hand, and I wanted to take some of its fruit for you to look at, then it occurred to me not to do so."
