Musnad Ahmad 33:313

Yahya narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Arubah, from Qatadah, from An-Nadr ibn Anas, from Bashir ibn Nahik, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "The *‘umra* (gift of a house for life) is an inheritance for its people," or "it is a permissible gift for its people."
