Muhammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, Abdullah ibn Ubayd ibn Umayr informed me, that Abd al-Rahman ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Ammar informed him, saying: I asked Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari about the hyena, and I said: "Do I eat it?" He said: "Yes." I said: "Is it hunted?" He said: "Yes." I said: "Did you hear that from the Prophet of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?" He said: "Yes."
