'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj informed us, and Muhammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir informed me, he said: I heard Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah saying: "Bread and meat were brought near to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Then he called for water for ablution, so he performed ablution, then he prayed the Dhuhr prayer. Then he called for the remainder of his food and ate, then he stood for the prayer and did not perform ablution." "Then I entered with 'Umar, and a bowl was placed for him here—and Ibn Bakr said: a bowl in front of us—containing bread and meat, and here a bowl containing bread and meat. So 'Umar ate, then he stood for the prayer and did not perform ablution."
