Musnad Ahmad 33:342

Dāwūd ibn Mihrān narrated to us, Dāwūd—meaning al-ʿAṭṭār—narrated to us, from Ibn Khuthaym, from Abū al-Zubayr Muḥammad ibn Muslim, that he narrated to him from Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) remained for ten years—then he mentioned the hadith—and he said: "To the extent that a man would travel from the outskirts of Egypt and from Yemen." And he said: "The separation of the Arabs." And he said: "You fear for yourselves a fear." And he said: "Regarding the pledge of allegiance: we shall not ask to be released from it."
