Musnad Ahmad 33:344

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, al-Thawri informed us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, passed by a donkey that had been branded on its face, and its nostrils were smoking. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Who did this? Let no one brand the face, and let no one strike the face."
