Musnad Ahmad 33:347

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Jabir, that a man from Aslam came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and confessed to adultery. He turned away from him. Then he confessed, and he turned away from him, until he had testified against himself four times. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said to him, "Is there madness in you?" He said, "No." He said, "Are you married?" He said, "Yes." So the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, ordered him, and he was stoned at the prayer ground. When the stones hurt him, he fled, but he was caught and stoned until he died. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, spoke well of him, but he did not pray over him.
