Musnad Ahmad 33:370

Hajjaj narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj said: Abu al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir being asked: "Did the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, take the pledge (bay'ah) at Dhu al-Hulayfah?" He said: "No, but he prayed there, and he did not take the pledge at the tree, except for the tree that was at al-Hudaybiyah." And he informed us that he heard Jabir say: "The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, prayed at the well of al-Hudaybiyah."
