Musnad Ahmad 33:381

Abu Bakr al-Hanafi narrated to us, al-Dahhak bin Uthman narrated to us, Sharhabil narrated to me, from Jabir, who said: "The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, stood to pray the Maghrib prayer, so I came and stood at his side on his left. He forbade me, and he placed me on his right. Then a companion of mine came, and we stood in a row behind him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, led us in prayer while wearing a single garment, having crossed its two ends over his shoulders."
