Musnad Ahmad 33:386

Abu al-Nadr narrated to us, Muhammad—meaning Ibn Rashid—narrated to us, from Sulayman ibn Musa, from ‘Ata’, from Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah, who said: "We used to obtain, along with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, from our spoils of war from the polytheists, water skins and containers, and we would divide them, even though they were all dead [i.e., made from the hides of animals that had not been slaughtered according to Islamic law]."
