Hadith 33:389
Hashim narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr narrated to us, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said—or I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say—: "Whoever has the strap of his sandal break—or if the strap of one of your sandals breaks—let him not walk in one sandal until he repairs his strap. And let him not walk in one leather sock, and let him not eat with his left hand, and let him not sit in the *ihtiba'* position (wrapping the arms around the legs) while wearing a single garment, and let him not wrap himself in the *samma'* (a style of wrapping the body in a garment that leaves no opening for the arms)."
