Musnad Ahmad 33:391

Muhammad ibn Bishr narrated to us, Muhammad ibn ‘Amr narrated to us, Sa‘id narrated to us, from Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah, who said: "We used to pray the Dhuhr prayer with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so I would take a handful of pebbles in my hand and place them in my other hand until they cooled down, then I would prostrate upon them due to the intensity of the heat." ‘Abdullah said: "It was in my father’s book: from Sa‘id, from Abu Sa‘id. So my father struck it out because it was an error, and it is actually Sa‘id ibn al-Harith; Ibn Bishr made a mistake."
