Musnad Ahmad 33:402

Abu Amir al-Aqdi narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, from Jabir, that a man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: "So-and-so has a date-palm tree in my garden, and it has harmed me and made the location of his tree difficult for me." So the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, sent for him and said: "Sell me your date-palm tree that is in the garden of so-and-so." He said: "No." He said: "Then gift it to me." He said: "No." He said: "Then sell it to me for a date-palm tree in Paradise." He said: "No." Then the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "I have not seen anyone stingier than you, except for the one who is stingy with the greeting of peace."
