Musnad Ahmad 33:408

Rawh narrated to us, Zakariya narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr narrated to us, that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah saying: "I went on nineteen military expeditions with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." Jabir said: "I did not witness Badr, nor Uhud; my father prevented me." He said: "Then when Abdullah was killed on the day of Uhud, I never stayed behind from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, in any military expedition at all."
