'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj informed us, 'Abd al-Hamid ibn Jubayr informed me that Muhammad ibn 'Abbad ibn Ja'far informed him that he asked Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah al-Ansari while he was circumambulating the House: "Did you hear the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbidding fasting on Friday?" He said: "Yes, and by the Lord of this House."
