Yahya ibn Hammad narrated to us, Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, from Abu Bishr, from Sulayman ibn Qays, from Jabir ibn 'Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Al-Madinah will be left by its people while it is flourishing." They said: "Then who will eat it, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "The beasts of prey and the birds of prey." Abu 'Awanah said: It was narrated to me that Abu Bishr said: It was in the book of Sulayman ibn Qays.
