Musnad Ahmad 33:5

Yahya ibn Adam and Abu al-Nadr narrated to us, they said: Zuhayr narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr narrated to us, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, having entered the state of Ihram for Hajj, with women and children among us. When we arrived in Makkah, we performed Tawaf around the House and between al-Safa and al-Marwah. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to us: "Whoever does not have a sacrificial animal with him, let him exit the state of Ihram." We said: "What kind of exiting?" He said: "The complete exiting." He said: So we went to our women, wore our clothes, and used perfume. When the Day of Tarwiyah arrived, we entered the state of Ihram for Hajj, and the first Tawaf between al-Safa and al-Marwah sufficed us. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, commanded us to share in camels and cows, every seven of us in one camel. Then Suraqah ibn Malik ibn Ju'shum came and said: "O Messenger of Allah, clarify our religion for us as if we were created just now. Do you see this 'Umrah of ours, is it for this year of ours or for eternity?" He said: "No, rather it is for eternity." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, clarify our religion for us as if we were created just now. Is the work today in that which the pens have dried upon and the decrees have run, or in that which we are beginning?" He said: "No, rather in that which the pens have dried upon and the decrees have run." He said: "Then why work?" Abu al-Nadr said in his narration: I heard from someone who heard from Abu al-Zubayr, who said: He said: "Work, for everyone is facilitated [for what they were created for]." Hasan said: Zuhayr said: Then I did not understand some speech that Abu al-Zubayr spoke, so I asked Yasin and said: "How did Abu al-Zubayr say it in this place?" He said: I heard him say: "Work, for everyone is facilitated."
