Musnad Ahmad 33:521

Yunus narrated to us, Hammad—meaning Ibn Zayd—narrated to us, Hisham ibn Urwah narrated to us, from Wahb ibn Kaysan, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever revives dead land, it is his, and whatever the *afiyah* (creatures) eat from it is charity for him." A man said: "O Abu al-Mundhir"—Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Abu al-Mundhir is Hisham ibn Urwah—"What is the *afiyah*?" He said: "Whatever seeks it out (i.e., creatures that come to it) of anything."
