Musnad Ahmad 33:568

Hassan narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr narrated to us, he said: I asked Jabir about a mouse that dies in food or drink; should I eat it? He said: "No." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade that. We used to put ghee in jars, and he said: "If a mouse dies in it, then do not eat it."
