Muhammad ibn Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr—who is Abu Ahmad al-Zubayri—narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Rahman—meaning Ibn al-Ghasil—informed us, from Asim ibn Umar ibn Qatadah, from Jabir ibn Abd Allah, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "If there is—or if there be—any good in any of your medicines, then it is in the incision of a cupper, or a drink of honey, or a cauterization by fire that suits the ailment; and I do not like to be cauterized." *** Muhammad ibn al-Sabah narrated to us, Ismail ibn Zakariyya narrated to us, from Abd Allah ibn Uthman ibn Khuthaym, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Sabit and Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "O Allah, guide Thaqif." Abd Allah said: And I heard it myself from Muhammad ibn al-Sabah, and he mentioned the like of it.
