Musnad Ahmad 33:625

Musa narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr narrated to us, that Bannah al-Juhani informed him that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, passed by a group of people in the mosque—or in the gathering—who were drawing a sword among themselves, passing it to one another unsheathed. He said: "May Allah curse whoever does that. Have I not forbidden you from this? If you draw a sword, let the man sheath it, then let him hand it over as such."
