Abu al-Mughirah narrated to us, al-Awza'i narrated to us, Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to me, Ubayd Allah ibn Miqsam narrated to me, Jabir ibn Abdullah narrated to me, he said: We were with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and a funeral procession passed by us. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stood up, and we stood up with him. When we went to carry it, it was the funeral of a Jew. We said: "O Messenger of Allah, it is the funeral of a Jew." He said: "Indeed, death has a terror, so when you see a funeral, stand for it."
