Musnad Ahmad 33:696

Abu al-Mughirah and Muhammad ibn Mus'ab narrated to us, they said: al-Awza'i narrated to us, 'Ata' narrated to me—and Ibn Mus'ab said: from 'Ata' ibn Abi Rabah, from Jabir, who said: Some men had surplus land, and they used to lease it for a third, a quarter, or a half. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Whoever has land, let him cultivate it, or let him grant it to his brother. If he refuses, then let him hold onto his land."
