Musnad Ahmad 33:699

Abu al-Yaman narrated to us, Safwan narrated to us, from Ma'iz al-Tamimi, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, that he said: "Indeed, Satan has despaired that the worshippers will worship him, but [he seeks] to incite discord among them."
