Musnad Ahmad 33:70

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us. And Hajjaj narrated to us, he said: Shu‘bah narrated to us, he said: I heard Qatadah narrating from Abu Nadrah, he said—Hajjaj said in his narration: I heard Abu Nadrah, he said: I mentioned that to Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah, and he said: "At my hands the hadith circulates: We performed Tamattu‘ with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace."
