Musnad Ahmad 33:72

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Sayyar, from al-Sha‘bi, from Jabir ibn ‘Abd Allah, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to him: "If you enter at night, do not enter upon your family until the woman whose husband is away has shaved her pubic hair, and the disheveled woman has combed her hair." He said: And the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "When you enter, then upon you is intelligence, and intelligence."
