Yunus narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: "He forbade al-muzabanah (the sale of fruits on trees for harvested fruits), al-muhaqalah (the sale of standing crops for harvested grain), al-mukhabarah (sharecropping), al-thunya (the exception of a portion of the yield), and al-mu'awamah (the sale of the yield of a tree for several years in advance)."
