'Abd al-Quddus ibn Bakr ibn Khunays narrated to us, Hajjaj informed us, from Abu al-Zubayr, who said: Jabir was asked about what is to be supplicated for the deceased? He said: "That which the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) did not permit for us in it, nor did Abu Bakr, nor did Umar."
