Ya'qub narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban narrated to me, from his paternal uncle Wasi' ibn Habban, from Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, when he permitted the owners of *'araya* (date palms given as gifts) to sell them according to their estimated yield, saying: "One *wasq*, two *awsuq*, three, and four."
