Sa'id ibn Mansur and Qutaybah ibn Sa'id narrated to us, they said: Ya'qub ibn 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from 'Amr ibn Abi 'Amr, from al-Muttalib, from Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said—and Qutaybah said in his narration: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "Land game is lawful for you"—Sa'id said: "while you are in the state of Ihram—as long as you do not hunt it yourselves, nor is it hunted for you."
