Musnad Ahmad 33:837

Muhammad ibn Sabiq narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Tahman narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, that he said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The Dajjal will emerge during a period of religious decline and a turning away from knowledge. He will have forty nights during which he will travel through the earth; a day of which will be like a year, a day like a month, a day like a week, and the rest of his days will be like these days of yours. He will have a donkey that he rides, the width between its ears being forty cubits. He will say to the people: 'I am your Lord,' while he is one-eyed, and your Lord is not one-eyed. Written between his eyes is 'Kafir'—spelled K-F-R—which every believer, literate or illiterate, will read. He will reach every water source and watering place except Medina and Mecca, for Allah has forbidden them to him, and the angels stand at their gates. He will have with him mountains of bread, and the people will be in hardship except for those who follow him. He will have two rivers, and I know more about them than he does: a river he calls Paradise, and a river he calls Hell. Whoever is cast into the one he calls Paradise, it is Hell, and whoever is cast into the one he calls Hell, it is Paradise." He said: "Allah will send with him devils who will speak to the people. He will have a great trial; he will command the sky and it will rain, as the people perceive, and he will kill a person and then bring him back to life, as the people perceive. He will not have power over anyone else among the people. He will say: 'O people, does anyone do the like of this except the Lord?'" He said: "The Muslims will flee to the Mountain of Smoke (Jabal al-Dukhan) in Ash-Sham. He will come to them and besiege them, and their siege will become severe, and he will afflict them with intense hardship. Then Isa ibn Maryam will descend and call out at dawn, saying: 'O people, what prevents you from going out to the wicked liar?' They will say: 'This is a jinn man.' They will set out, and behold, it is Isa ibn Maryam. The prayer will be established, and it will be said to him: 'Step forward, O Spirit of Allah.' He will say: 'Let your Imam step forward and lead you in prayer.' When he has prayed the morning prayer, they will go out to him." He said: "When the liar sees him, he will dissolve just as salt dissolves in water. He will walk toward him and kill him, to the point that the tree and the stone will call out: 'O Spirit of Allah, this is a Jew.' He will not leave anyone who used to follow him without killing him."
