Musnad Ahmad 33:85

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Sufyan, Humaid narrated to me—and Rawh, he said: Sufyan al-Thawri narrated to us, from Humaid ibn Qays al-A'raj, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim, from Jabir ibn Abdullah: "A man from the Ansar gave his mother a garden of date palms during her lifetime. She died, and his brothers came and said: 'We are equal in it.' He refused, so they disputed before the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. He divided it among them as an inheritance."
