Musnad Ahmad 33:863

Mu'awiyah ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Abu Ishaq narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from Sulayman ibn Musa, from Jabir, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) passed by a people in a gathering who were drawing a sword, passing it among themselves unsheathed. He said: "Have I not forbidden you from this? If one of you draws a sword, let him sheath it, then let him give it to his brother."
