Hadith 33:867
Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Ja’far, from his father, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would stand and deliver a sermon. He would praise Allah and extol Him as He deserves, and say: "Whoever Allah guides, there is none to misguide him, and whoever He misguides, there is none to guide him. The best of speech is the Book of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad. The worst of affairs are the newly invented ones, and every newly invented thing is an innovation." When he mentioned the Hour, his cheeks would redden, his voice would rise, and his anger would intensify, as if he were a warner of an army, saying: "It has come upon you in the morning, it has come upon you in the evening." "Whoever leaves behind wealth, it is for his heirs. Whoever leaves behind dependents or debt, then it is upon me and it is my responsibility, and I am the guardian of the believers."
