Musnad Ahmad 33:894

'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, from Jabir, who said: "The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, came to visit me, neither riding a mule nor a pack horse."
