Musnad Ahmad 33:896

Muhammad ibn Abi ‘Adi narrated to us, from Sulayman—meaning al-Taymi—from Abu Nadrah, from Jabir, who said: I was traveling on a camel of mine used for drawing water, at the rear of the caravan. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) struck it a strike—or he said: he poked it a poke—and after that, it would be at the front of the caravan, except when I restrained it. He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to me and said: "Will you sell it to me for such and such, and may Allah forgive you?" I said: "It is yours, O Messenger of Allah." He said: Then he increased the offer for me and said: "Will you sell it to me for such and such, and may Allah forgive you?" I said: "It is yours, O Messenger of Allah." Sulayman said: I do not know how many times. He said: "Will you sell it to me for such and such?" Then he said: "Have you married after your father?" I said: "Yes." He said: "A virgin or a previously married woman?" I said: "A previously married woman." He said: "Why did you not marry a virgin, so that you might play with her and she might play with you, and you might make her laugh and she might make you laugh?"
