Katheer ibn Hisham narrated to us, from Hisham, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade the eating of onions and leeks. Then, necessity overcame us, so we ate from them. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever eats from this foul-smelling plant, let him not approach our mosque, for the angels are offended by that which offends humans."
