Musnad Ahmad 33:901

Kathir ibn Hisham narrated to us, Hisham ibn Abi Abdullah, the companion of al-Dastawa'i, narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari, who said: The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on a day of intense heat. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, prayed with his companions, and he prolonged the standing until they began to collapse. Then he bowed and prolonged the bowing, then he raised his head and prolonged [the standing], then he bowed and prolonged [the bowing], then he raised [his head] and prolonged [the standing], then he prostrated two prostrations. Then he stood and did the same. Then he began to move forward, and then he began to move backward. It was four bowings and four prostrations. Then he said: "Everything you are promised was presented to me. Paradise was presented to me, to the point that if I had reached for a cluster [of fruit] from it, I would have taken it—or he said: I reached for a cluster from it, but my hand fell short of it; Hisham was in doubt—and the Fire was presented to me, and I began to move backward, fearing that it would cover you. I saw in it a Himyarite woman, black and tall, being punished for a cat of hers; she tied it up and did not feed it, nor did she give it water, nor did she let it eat from the vermin of the earth. And I saw Abu Thumamah 'Amr ibn Malik dragging his intestines in the Fire. They are two signs from the signs of Allah by which He shows you; so if it eclipses, pray until it clears."
